Zuccarello's First Goal of Season is Moment of the Week
(Week of March 12-March 18)

Rangers forward Mats Zuccarello's first goal of the season, scored at The Garden against Colorado on St. Patrick's Day, was voted the newyorkrangers.com Moment of the Week in a landslide victory for Week 24 of the 2011-12 regular season. Just a few days after being brought back up to the Rangers from Connecticut, Zuccarello found the back of the net. As a result, he collected 45.8 percent of voting by Rangers fans to beat Brad Richards' second goal of the game in a March 13 win over Carolina and Carl Hagelin's goal that sealed the win on March 13. Both Richards and Hagelin picked up 27.1 percent of the week's vote.

Mats Zuccarello scores his first  of season
for 1-0 lead with a deflection in front of net

Description: Zuccarello, in his fourth game back with the Rangers since being recalled from the AHL, netted his first of the season at 10:43 of the first period. The 5-foot-7 winger worked his way to the front of the net, got his stick on Dan Girardi's shot from the right wing boards, and steered it between Semyon Varlamov's pads.
